Taylor Swift wins 2013, so far.  As least, that's according to the results of Billboard magazine's annual Mid-Year Music Awards, which asks fans to choose which stars are dominating the charts and the industry in the first six months of a given year.

Taylor was named the MVP of the first half of 2013, beating out Justin Timberlake and Beyonce for the honor.  Her disc Red was also named Favorite Billboard #1 Album, and her RED tour was named Best Tour.  The only downside for Taylor?  She came in second in the category of Most Overrated Artist, right behind Justin Bieber.

Elsewhere in the poll, Ariana Grande was named Best Newcomer, Pink's duet with Nate Ruess, "Give Me a Reason," was named Favorite Hot 100 #1 Song, and Miley Cyrus' bonkers video for "We Can't Stop" took the title of Best Music Video.  Miley also won in the categories of Best Comeback and Best Style, she beat out Justin Timberlake in both those categories.

The year's Most Shocking Moment, so far, was Beyonce's lip-synching of the national anthem at President Obama's second inauguration, while the Most Memorable Feud was, of course, the one between ex-American Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.  And speaking of American Idol, The Voice crushed it in the category of Best Music Reality Show, 45% to 25%.

The most anticipated music event of the second half of 2013, meanwhile, is Britney Spears' next album.
