TexAmericas Center (TAC) has seen a 14.5% overall increase in employment amongst its’ tenants over the past 5 years.

The center which is located in Bowie County just west of Texarkana, also reports the addition of 113 jobs to the area this year. TAC completes an annual census of current tenants and businesses located on their Central, East, and West campuses (excluding the Red River Army Depot) to evaluate employment growth. The 2017 census ultimately revealed an overall $14.2 million annual payroll for the 26 tenants/businesses located on TAC’s combined footprint.

Other findings from the 2017 Annual Census for Employment and Payroll include:
 4 new tenants were added to the TAC footprint including: Jackson Melons, Bristol General Contractors, Premier Fire & Security Inc., and Braswell Services-- adding a combined total of 23 new jobs.
 3 of the current tenants on the TAC campuses reported employment growth—ranging from 3550%, reported as the highest growth rate, to 16.67%, reported as the lowest growth rate.
 22 businesses were retained, resulting in an 84% retention of businesses from July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017.
