Dare we say that it's time to start thinking about back to school? That means the Tax-Free Weekend is just around the corner. It's a great way to get the kids ready for the new school year and save a lot of money.

In Arkansas, the Tax-Free Weekend will start at 12:01 AM Saturday, August 6 and go until 11:59 PM on  Sunday, August 7.

Certain Electronics Are Eligible

Did you know that now in Arkansas certain electronics are on the list? That's right. According to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, certain electronics are tax-free during the state's tax-free weekend. These are items that are used by students in a "course of study" including Calculators, Desktop Computers, Cellular Phones, E-Reader, Computer Mouse, Laptop Computers, Computer Monitors, Printers, Computer Keyboards and Tablets.

With a price of less than $100 per item. This includes just about everything. From undergarments, shoes, pants, shirts and dresses. Also included are a lot of baby items from diapers to receiving blankets. Clothing accessories with a price less than $50 per item including Briefcases, Cosmetics, Hair barrettes, Hair Bows and Handbags and more

And of course school supplies and a limited list of school art supplies.

According to New 5 the spokesperson for the ADFA,  Scott Hardin said;

Tax free items are not limited to in-store purchases. Qualifying items purchased online, whether it’s a laptop or a lunch box, will be tax free if the item is shipped to an Arkansas address. The online transaction must be processed on August 6 or 7.
