‘Shop WIth a Cop’ Rib Eating Fundraiser Thursday

The Silver Star Smokehouse will host a 'Rib Eating Contest' on Thursday to raise money for 'Shop With a Cop'.

Stop by at 6:30 at Silver Star Smokehouse for the Miller County and Texarkana Arkansas police versus Texarkana fire department in a 'Rib Eating Contest'. Miller County Deputies and TAPD have a highly prepared team of Officers and are all ready to win!

For those not familiar with the Shop With a Cop and Firefighter program, it is an annual event held in early December where the Texas side police department partners with Target and CPS to provide 100 local disadvantaged children with a Christmas.

On the day of the event, each child is paired with a police officer or firefighter and given $100 to spend on whatever they want. It is a life-changing experience for everyone involved.
