Police Release Name of Motorcycle Accident Victim

Investigators have determined that Henderson was travelling southbound in the outside lane of Texas Boulevard at a high rate of speed on a 2006 Honda motorcycle.  He failed to stop at the red light at the intersection of West 40th Street and struck the right side of a 1998 Ford Expedition, driven by Billy Crutchfield of Texarkana, Texas, as it was making a left turn.  According to several witnesses, Crutchfield had a protected green arrow turn light.

Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Crutchfield was not injured.

It is unknown if the Henderson was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

The investigation is on-going and will remain open until the toxicology test results for both involved parties are known.
