Robin Thicke has reportedly made progress on winning back his estranged wife, Paula Patton.

Multiple sources connected to the couple say that the pair have remained in contact, despite announcing their separation last month. The gossip site reports the tone of their conversations are "smooth and cordial" and Patton has allegedly told Robin what needs to change in order for their reconciliation to work.

Sources indicate that Paula appreciates Robin for making time for their three-year-old son, Julian Fuego, but she's not impressed with his onstage professions of love during his Blurred Lines tour.

Patton, whose Twitter bio still reads "wife of the amazing, brilliant, genius @RobinThicke," also has not hired a divorce lawyer and reportedly has no plans to do so.

The singer and the actress first met her estranged husband when Thicke was just 14 years old.  They've been married since 2005.
