A couple of Harry Styles' band mates in One Direction were a bit put off by Taylor Swift seemingly dissing her ex at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.

As 1D was presenting an award, Taylor was caught on camera in her seat mouthing the words, "Shut the f*** up." Later, when she accepted the award for best female video for "I Knew You Were Trouble," Taylor attacked another, unspecified ex by saying, "I also want to thank the person that inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these," referring to her Moonman trophy.

What was One Direction member Louis Tomlinson's take on all of that? He tells Us Weekly, perhaps jokingly, "We thought she was actually calling out Niall Horan so the whole thing's a bit confusing."

Fellow 1D member Liam Payne adds, "I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it's like, concentrate on yourself!" Liam also answered in the affirmative when he was asked whether he thought Taylor's behavior was "lame."

In addition, Liam told New York magazine, "Hashtag get over it...I was going to do a Kanye! It's the best video of all time!

As for Miley Cyrus' twerking at the VMAs, Harry commented to E! News, tongue apparently in cheek, "You're trying to get us to say something, and I thought it was a lovely, played-down performance."
