Oktoberfest in Downtown Texarkana This Saturday

It's finally here. Oktoberfest is hitting Downtown Texarkana this Saturday. It was previously rescheduled because of rain but this Saturday's forecast is calling for great festival weather.

Oktoberfest is the first festival of its kind in Texarkana. Front Street Festival Plaza will be filled with arts and crafts booths this Saturday starting at 9AM. Enjoy delicious food and craft beers. Many of the vendors are coming from all over Arkansas. The fun will wrap up around 7PM.

The event is hosted by Texarkana Friends of the Shelter for the purpose of raising money for the Animal Care and Adoption Center which is our local animal shelter in Texarkana. The festival will put the 'fun' in fundraiser with tons of things to see and do for the entire family.

A little known fact is that Arkansas has great craft beers and local breweries. This will be a great opportunity to sample some of the best craft beers from local breweries.

Hang out in the beer garden to sample an array of samples from many of the unique breweries of Arkansas. Full sized beer beverages will be available for purchase as well. The festival will be full of other awesome arts and crafts vendors as well as delicious foods from across the four states along with plenty of entertainment throughout the day. The Front Street stage will feature many local singers, artists and dancers from the Ark-La-Tex. Greg Gardner will wrap up the day performing some of his best country hits.
