It is a bacon wrapped fair this year with plenty of new foods to try. Bacon dogs, giant stuffed peppers, fresh cut fries with bacon, sour cream and cheese, maple bacon wrapped corn dogs, chocolate dipped corn dogs and eggs that are chicken, cheese, jalapeno and wrapped in bacon. Many of your favorites are back too.

Local favorites are back with newly remodeled food trailers. Judy's Fried Pies has much more than just pies. It looks like she has added a pizza warmer in the back and Memphis BBQ nachos. Her pork cracklins are one of my favorites. The Preacher's Kitchen is back with two trailers this year so there will be plenty of smoked turkey legs to go around. 30 Burger is back too. I tried their Bear Bait Burger last year during the Taste of the Fair. Before that, I had never had a burger with a donut bun and it was great. Smokey Joe's Barbeque is back. Circle M from Big Sandy, Texas is set up in the red barn like they were last year. The log trailer with the fried fresh cut fries and potato chips is back and so is the black and white checkered ice cream trailer, Gourmet Soul and Eden Bubble Tea. The ladies were setting up their tent getting ready to make cotton candy and candied apples. Slim Chickens is serving tea again.

I noticed a few new vendors that were already set up when I walked through the day before the fair opens. I'm not sure of the name of the vendor's booth but they have eggs that are actually chicken, cheese, jalapeno and wrapped in bacon before they are dropped into the fryer.

On the midway I noticed a couple of newly renovated food trailers as well. Have you ever tried the chipstix? It is fried potatoes twisted and fried on a stick. You can get hot Cheetos con queso on the midway too.

Don't worry, there are plenty of places to get funnel cakes, fresh lemonade, nachos, hand made pretzels, hamburgers, sausage on a stick, corn dogs, sno cones, deep fried twinkies, philly steak, roasted corn on the cob and popcorn.

My list is not all-inclusive since many of the vendors were still arriving and getting set up.
