Lil Wayne upset fans at the University of Florida by showing up late to a performance on Tuesday (April 4). The New Orleans native did not take the stage at the O’Connell Center until 11:26 p.m., according to Alligator. Wayne’s arrival was met with boos since the show was supposed to end around 11 p.m.

Doors at the venue opened at 7:15 p.m. Bas and CyHi The Prynce, the two opening acts for the night, were finished by 10 p.m. The 3000 people in attendance were left waiting for well over an hour to see Wayne perform.

“The show was supposed to close around 11, not start,” Karan Sharma, a University of Florida computer science senior, said. “I think they treated us like shit. They shouldn’t have done that.”

The veteran MC did not make any comment about his late arrival. The O’Connell Center later announced on its Facebook page that Wayne’s plane had been grounded in Atlanta due to high winds.

Wayne has had some bad luck with planes as of late. The rapper recently had to cancel a show in Minnesota due to a malfunctioning plane.

“Minnesota I’m sorry I kouldn’t make it tonight,” Wayne wrote last week. “Had plane issues that was out of my kontrol. Will make it up to y’all and reskhedule.”

Weezy will look to avoid such delays and cancellations on his Kloser 2 U tour, which kicks off later this month. Check out all of Wayne’s upcoming tour dates below.
