Last year, Lil Wayne appeared in a Bumbu Rum commercial in which he's referred to as the G.O.A.T.—which is an acronym for Greatest of All Time. Now, he's revisiting that position, and he's offered some lofty praise to one of his all-time favorite rappers in the process.

On Thursday (May 2), the New Orleans rapper uploaded the aforementioned commercial to his Instagram account, and in the caption for the post, he labeled Jay-Z, a person he's always been a big fan of, as the G.O.A.T. "1 yr later...@originalbumbu🐐 Who’s the GOAT to you? I got Jay! Drop names in my komments⚰️."

While Weezy's Hov comment is definitely a dope moment, it really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. For over a decade, Wayne, who announced that he'd joined Jay-Z's Roc Nation in 2017, has called Hov one of his favorite rappers, and, during a mid-show thank-you speech he gave in December 2018, Weezy said that Hov even helped him out with financial matters.

"Jay don't want me to tell nobody, that man helped me with my taxes," Weezy said in a thank-you speech last year. "He's a real friend y'all. Shout out my nigga Jay. Shout to my nigga [Swizz Beatz]. Shout out to my rider Chance. Weezy!"
