‘Komen Texarkana Race For The Cure’ Saturday

"The 2019 Komen Texarkana Race For The Cure" is this Saturday, October 19 in downtown Texarkana.

This race has been taking place for 20 years right here in Texarkana and it’s been instrumental in helping save lives in our area. 88 percent of all funds raised are spent directly on the mission of saving lives and ending breast cancer forever.

Over 3.6 million in local grants for breast health education and breast cancer screening having been awarded by the Texarkana organization since 1999.

In addition to the race, there will also be a Pasta Party and Silent Auction Thursday night at Silvermoon on Broad.

Race Day Schedule

7-8:00am - Late Registration/Packet Pick up

7-8:15 am - Top Team Fundraisers/Sponsor Breakfast

7:30-8:45am  - Team Pictures

8:30 am - Survivor Picture

8:30 am - Opening Ceremonies

9:00 am - 5K Run/Walk - Competitive Runner begins at Front - all others start behind runners.  Start and Finish Line on Front Street.

10:30 am - Closing Ceremonies - Front Street Stage - Team Awards

10:30 am - Survivor Brunch/Closing Ceremonies - Survivors and 1 guest - Beech Street Baptist Church
