Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes our art. From signs to monuments and the amazing murals, Amarillo is no stranger to art. In fact, if you drive all over the city, you will find art everywhere. Now we have a chance to bring yet another beautiful mural to the Yellow City, but it only happens if you vote for Amarillo.

How to Vote for Amarillo in the Star Spangled Texas Contest

Texas Monthly joined forces with Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages for the Star Spangled Texas Mural Competition. It's a part of America250.

What Amarillo Could Win With Enough Votes

America250 is a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Three Texas cities will be awarded a mural celebrating the anniversary.

One of the great things about Amarillo is its love of art, and you can see it throughout the city. Much of that creative explosion started downtown with the Hoodoo Mural Festival. Since its inception in 2019, 38 murals by local, regional, and national artists have added beautiful artwork across Amarillo.

Amarillo is the perfect place for a mural of this distinction because we already support and celebrate art and artists. The city and residents have proven that public art is wanted and needed. Having these new murals would complement the art landscape already in Amarillo.
