Stay Calm! Texarkana Police SWAT Team is Training Today
Don't freak! We found out that we might see loads of police cars and armored police vehicles in some of our neighborhoods today. Not to worry or be alarmed.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T. Teams) will be training in some of the Texarkana Arkansas neighborhoods.
According to the TAPD's Facebook page;
You may see numerous police vehicles and large armored vehicles moving on city streets creating a large police presence. Do not approach or enter into the areas where the training is ongoing. If you have a question or concern contact the police department's non-emergency number. This training will be conducted all day and conclude before nightfall. These are training exercises, do not be alarmed.
With the state of things lately locally, regionally and nationally, seeing a sight of a big police presence in our neighborhoods can be very nerve wreaking, to say the least.
Just remember this will be going on through the rest of the day but should be over before it gets dark this evening.
