Texas Rangers Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting in Hooks

An officer-involved shooting has been reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety Office out of Texarkana, Texas.

The Texas Rangers are investigating the incident which happened during a traffic stop near Hooks, Texas Monday afternoon, April 24, 2023. The shooting involved a Bowie County Constable and there is no word at this time of the condition of the person who was shot.

Bowie County, Texas - The Texas Rangers are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on April 24, 2023 in Bowie County near Hooks, Texas. The incident occurred during a traffic stop with a Bowie County Constable. This information is preliminary in an open investigation and no further information is available.
