I finally had the chance to attend this event for the first time last year, and if possible, I won't miss it again. The 25th Annual Bramlett Beans & Cornbread Community Fundraiser is coming up at the Texarkana Convention Center on Thursday, December 7th, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Monday was a big day for Texas Governor Greg Abbott who went skydiving for the first time in his life and did it with a 106-year-old World War II veteran by the name of Al Blaschke. They both did a tandem jump with the professionals at Skydive Spaceland San Marcos to honor the service and sacrifice of U.S. military veterans.
Turkey Week did not disappoint, with great food and family hugs, and we topped it off with a little bit of shopping. Bowie County Deputies made 55 arrests last week. Out of the total, 18 were made by Bowie County Deputies, and the remaining 37 were made by other law enforcement agencies in the area who then handed them over to the county.
We love celebrating discounted and free food here in the Ark-La-Tex and since today is National Chicken Sandwich Day, naturally we thought it might be fun to find some Chicken Sandwich deals around town to tell you about. You hungry yet?
