The Silvermoon Children’s Theatre in downtown Texarkana will host a Summer Theater Camp from June 28th through July 30.

This drama camp gets the kids fully involved in putting on a full show. Kids will learn about set design, costumes, and learn proper theater etiquette, as well as learn skits and lines that they will perform in front of an audience.

The Summer Camps are broken down into different mini camps.

The "Grunch" musical. This musical is a play off of the Grinch that tells the tale of a 6th grader who feels like an outsider. This musical will have two run dates of June 28 - July 2 AND July 26 - July 30 and take place from 10 am - 3 pm on weekdays.

"Survivor All-Stars" is a nonmusical event that will take place on July 12 - 16 from 10 am - 3pm. This is a story similar to the Survivor TV show that the participant has to work with other strangers to get back home.

"Snoopy The Musical" is the final camp of the Summer and only kids ages 13 through 18 with prior acting experience are required to participate. This is the sequel to "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown".This musical with over 15 numbers focuses on Snoopy the famous pilot.

The mission of Silvermoon Children's Theatre is to provide entertaining, professional-quality theatre, performed by children for audiences of all ages. It educates, challenges and inspires youth, supports the learning environment, and builds strong community values.
