Future has been on a winning streak. After he gained joint custody of his two-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, he dropped the lawsuit against the toddler's mom, Ciara, TMZ reports.

Back in February, Ciara filed a $15 million defamation lawsuit against the Freebandz leader after he went on a Twitter tirade and essentially called her a bad mom. “This bitch got control problems,” he tweeted at the time.

Future then countersued, stating that he couldn't have "defamed" the 30-year-old singer because her career is washed up. Ouch. But now it seems that Future has had a change of heart -- and mind. (He likely didn't have much of a case anyway considering Ciara recently co-hosted the Billboard Music Awards alongside Ludacris.)

According to TMZ's sources, Future dropped the lawsuit because he wants to "calm the waters" after the custody case. He's also wary of Ciara dismantling his custodial rights and says that above all, Baby Future is his biggest focus.

Ciara, whose costly lawsuit remains in play, is still set to marry her boo, NFL player Russell Wilson. We hope Ciara and Future can continue to work out their differences and do what's best for Baby Future. Stay tuned and let us know what you think about the new situation in the comments below.
