Find Out What Arkansas, Texas, And Oklahoma’s Favorite Dessert Is

Dessert, the very word makes me hungry, I know what my favorite dessert is but what about Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma? 

Dessert is something we all indulge in on occasion. From delicious pies to some awesome Gelato we all have a favorite sweet thing we enjoy after a great meal. After a quick search on the internet, I found a story on coventrydirect.com on the most popular desserts in every state.

So how exactly did they come up who this list?

Using a list of 40 popular desserts, we explored Google search trends over the last 12 months for all 50 states plus the District of Columbia. We determined clear winners for the most popular dessert in each state, the most popular dessert overall, and how many states searched for that dessert the most.

So after looking at the most popular dessert from every state there were a few desserts that I found interesting. You know some that I may want to try.

Alaska "Baked Alaska"

So Baked Alaska is basically an ice cream cake with meringue. It has yellow cake, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream on top and is covered in that yummy meringue.

Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Ohio "Texas Sheet Cake"

This delicious dessert is made in a 13 by 18 pan. And is a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache-like frosting topped with either pecans or walnuts.

So what about our area?

Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas "Pecan Pie"

Yep, good ole Pecan Pie. It was my dad's favorite so we had it a lot when I was growing up. I have had pecan pie with chocolate chips but the classic is my favorite pecan pie. What is your favorite dessert?
