Filing Period For Texas Side City Elections Now Open

If you have ever thought about running for public office, now is your chance.The filing period for the Texarkana, Texas City Elections is now underway, starting today through March 1st.

Council positions in Wards 2, 3, & 5 are up for re-election this year. Currently Ward 2 is occupied by Willie Ray. Ward 3 is filled by Tina Veal-Gooch, and Ward 5 has Bill Miller.

This year's city election will be on Saturday May 11th.
