Dog Rescues in Texarkana and How to Contact Them
How many dog rescues are there in the Texarkana area? You’ve probably heard of the Humane Society and the Texarkana animal shelter but what do you know about the individual dog rescues in the area? We have several groups that rescue specific breeds, some rescue small breed dogs and others rescue all types and sizes. Read on to find out important information about theses rescues.
Individually run dog rescues started popping up in Texarkana a little over 10 years ago. Some have come and gone but for the most part, the majority of the rescues are still in operation. These rescues are funded by the person or people who started the rescue. They use adoption fees to help cover all of the costs associated with rescuing dogs. They also receive donations to help keep the dog food rolling in and to cover the vet bills that never seem to end.
