Dog and cat owners need to be aware of recent canned food recalls at PetSmart. No reported illnesses have occurred. The recalls were voluntary for PetSmart’s Grreat Choice, Wellness and Blue Buffalo.

The contaminations are only appearing to be in one batch of each of these brands. The companies request that pet owners stop feeding the food immediately and return it to the store for refunds or exchanges. The hazard of the metal contamination is possible choking and not a poison situation.
