Muttley Crew Rescue will host a dog adoption event this Saturday, August 3, at PetSmart in Texarkana. The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Four other rescue groups will also attend this event so there will be many different breeds to choose from small to large.

There will be a three-year old Leopard Catahoula/Great Dane mix male, two-year old Boxer/Hound mix female, six-month old Husky male pup, a one-year old Black Lab male, a one-year old Maltipoo, a 19 month old Long-hair Chihuahua, Boxers, Cocker Spaniels and many others to chose from. Check out the dogs below.

Adoption fees vary. These are family pets which have already been neutered and vaccinated. The dogs have been in dog rescues and foster homes so any questions about the dogs can be answered before you adopt. Bandit - Muttley Crew Rescue

Bandit is approximately 6 months old. A gorgeous husky/shepherd puppy. Bandit is playful and gets along with all dogs. He loves playing with his dog buddies. He is crate-trained and house-trained. He loves water, toys and bones. He is very smart and a quick learner. Bandit is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $200.

Bella - Muttley Crew Rescue

Bella is a fabulous dog! She is a year and a half old. Spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Bella is house trained and crate trained. She is great on a leash and LOVES to go for car rides. Bella is good with all dogs. She likes to play. She is quiet. Bella can clear a 6' fence so she will need to be a house dog with monitored outside time until she gets used to a routine. Bella is a loving dog and enjoys spending time with her people. Her energy level is medium. Adoption fee is $150.

Blue - Muttley Crew Rescue

Blue is a 3 year old wonderful dog. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. He is low to medium energy. Once he is filled out completely he will be an 80+ pound dog. He is crate trained and house trained. Blue is very mellow. He gets along well with dogs. He is good with children. Blue is very quiet. His adoption fee is $150.

Junior - Muttley Crew Rescue

Junior is a Black Lab mix that is approximately 1 year and 3 months old. He is a great dog. Loving and affectionate. He is a very alert watch dog, well-behaved. Lots of wonderful personality. Crate-trained, neutered, micro-chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. He is heartworm free! He is fun to hang out with. He weighs approximately 40 pounds which will be as big as he is expected to get. He is 80% house-trained. Junior loves to play with other dogs. He is good with kids too. His adoption fee is $100.00.

Coco - Little Paws Rescue

Meet Coco Chanel! She is a 19 mo old Long-hair Chihuahua, weighs 7lbs. Coco is fully vetted with spay, shots/rabies, micro-chipped, and heartworm negative. Coco is house broke, crate trained, and doggy door trained as well. Coco loves other dogs and cats. If interested in meeting Coco she is available for adoption through Little Paws Rescue. Jasper - Little Paws Rescue

Jasper is a 1 year old Maltapoo, weights 15lbs. He is fully vetted with neuter, shots/rabies, micro-chipped, and just finished with heartworm treatment 1 week ago. Jasper is house broke, crate trained, and doggy door trained as well. He is such a sweet boy and has a wonderful personality, loves other dogs and kids. Fenced yard required!! Meredith - Boxer Rescue of Texarkana

Meredith is now 2 years old, (dob 8/19/10) is a gorgeous 45 lb white deaf boxer. Adoption fee is $225... She is deaf and has to have a safe fenced in area to expend her energy when outside. She is an indoor dog. She needs someone that can work with her in regards to her deafness. If she has an allergic reaction, she gets very agitated until it gets under control. She eats in her crate as she wants to eat the other dogs food. She will only go to sleep when she is next to her Foster Mom. She has to have other big dogs who will play with her and so she will not be alone. She is crate trained and house trained. She needs to be crate trained as will chew things up and has separation anxiety. She knows the signs for sit, cookie, no, come and is VERY SMART!! Waldo - Passion For Pooches

Waldo is house broken and wee wee pad trained. He LOVES his people, but is leary of new people. He gets along with dogs and cats. He MUST sleep under the covers or at least he thinks he needs to sleep under the covers. He is spoiled! He is very affectionate and loving. If you like the chihuahua personalities, you will LOVE Waldo. He is 1-2 years old, UTD on HW and flea prevetion, micro chiipped and UTD on all vacctines. Kipper - Passion For Pooches

Kipper has been fully vetted and is on heartworm preventative. Kipper weighs 35 pounds and should be as big as he will get.. He is about one year old.This little man has personality plus. Everywhere we go, he is a crowd pleaser. He has a "toothy" grin when you talk to him and he get's excited. I was a skeptic about his smiling at first, as many dogs have a nervous grin. Obviously, that is not the case with Kipper. He is grinning because he is happy. Kipper is a sweet, loving little guy, full of sweet playful energy. He will make a great addition to any family.
