Columbia County AR, Ready For A Visit From Harvest Food Bank?
Harvest Regional Food Bank gets back out on the road next week to distribute emergency food boxes for Columbia County, Arkansas residents only, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, starting at 9 AM.
Harvest Regional Food Bank is returning to Columbia County with its TEFAP USDA Commodity Mobile Pantry.
According to Harvest Regional Food Bank Executive Director, Camille Coker Wrinkle;
“We have several communities in our rural service area that are not fully served by local partner agencies. To be sure that the residents in these areas are served, we are providing direct service where needed.”
Harvest Regional Food Bank will distribute the food boxes directly from their truck on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 9 AM to 11 AM or until all boxes have been distributed.
The truck will be parked at 102 E. Main St. in Waldo, AR, at the Volunteer Fire Department.
Don't forget, all Mobile Pantries our now operating as “drive-thru” distributions, with food boxes being loaded directly into vehicles.
- Recipients will not be allowed to exit the vehicle or park to pick up food.
- Recipients must bring photo identification or proof of address for verifying they are a resident of Columbia County.
- Distribution is limited to one box per household and 2 households per vehicle.
The Arkansas Minority Health Commission will have its Mobile Health Unit at the mobile pantry, offering FREE Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, Glucose, BMI, Oxygen/Pulse checks. They will also be providing other Health education.
The next mobile pantry will be on April 5, 2023.
