Coats 4 Kids Drive Going On Now
With winter in full swing, consider donating coats to help The Salvation Army keep underprivileged children warm.
The Salvation Army’s annual Coats for Kids program is under way and they are taking donations of winter coats and jackets for families who cannot afford proper winter attire.
Just by clearing out your closet, you can make a huge difference in a child’s life. All new or gently used coats can be taken to Four State Living Magazine as well as Texarkana Parents office, as well as Holiday Cleaners in Texarkana.
The Salvation Army Coats for Kids program has been keeping children warm for 30 years. In that time, donors have provided nearly 334,000 coats and winter accessories to local families in need. The annual coat drive is held from early October through January. After coats are collected, families are invited to The Salvation Army centers to select items to help keep their children warm through the winter.
