The group 'The Safe Squad' brings us a look inside the abandoned Hotel McCartney in downtown Texarkana.

In the video, you get some great exterior shots of the once grand hotel and once you are inside that is when it gets interesting. The views from inside show us what was once a nice hotel. Skylights very ornate interior details in the rooms and a lobby that would have been breathtaking for visitors to the hotel in the '30s and '40s.

The McCartney hotel sits on the oldest piece of property in downtown Texarkana. It was built in the 1920s and the Cosmopolitan once stood there was demolished to make room for the McCartney. The hotel was finished somewhere between 1929 to 1931 and was named after William A McCartney and was known as Texarkana's unofficial historian for many years.

The Hotel McCartney was the tallest building in Texarkana at just 10 stories.
