Check Out The Abandoned Pine Street School In Texarkana
Check out this video of the abandoned Pine Street School in Texarkana.
The video group 'The Safe Squad' takes you on a tour of the outside and inside of this old run down school. The F. Ben Pierce School or as most of us know it Pine Street Junior High. The school was constructed in 1928. It was originally Texas High when it was first constructed. I remember when the gym was still used in the late '80s for Texas High Basketball.
The building was officially retired in 2003. The last class held in Pine Street School was 1996. The building was officially part of a land swap with a gentleman named John Stone, who also owns the McCartney Hotel in downtown Texarkana. He did get the school to be recognized as a historical site, although it did so under much controversy.
Be careful there is some mild adult language in the video.
