Bowie County Ordered to “Shelter In Place” Through April 13, 2020

Today, March 27, at the Joint Operations Center Press Conference in Texarkana, Texas, Bowie County Judge Bobby Howell declared a Shelter In Place Order beginning at midnight tonight and will be in effect through April 13, 2020.

Miller County is not affected by this order at this time. However, the mandatory curfew of 10 PM - 6 AM is still in effect in Texarkana, Arkansas.

A partial list of Essential Businesses allowed to stay open are below, they include:

• Grocery Stores
• Gas Stations
• Restaurants - Drive and Take-Out Only
• Healthcare Facilities: Hospital - Emergency Rooms - Clinics - Dental, etc
