Here's something cool! NASA is looking for teenagers that are juniors at any Texas high school and are interested in science and aerospace.

NASA is looking for future engineers, scientists, researchers and innovators. They have a High School Aerospace Scholars program that according to their website, offers a one-of-a-kind experience to explore the possibilities of a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related major or career.

It starts with an online course and could end with a summer experience at NASA's Johnson Space Center working with experts on a mission to Mars. Who wouldn't want to do that?

You can apply now through October 23. The online sessions start in November and go through February.

The website states some of the activities to expect are:

During the school year you'll have the opportunity to participate in:

  • Interactive lessons on NASA activities related to space exploration, earth science, technology and aeronautics
  • Design challenges such as 3D drawing, video creation, interactive poster design
  • Virtual chats with NASA engineers and scientists

Selected students will be invited to NASA for a week-long residential summer experience.
