Annual Jonquil Festival in Historic Washington State Park
Jonquils are in bloom at Historic Washington State Park and a tremendous line-up of Entertainment and fun await those who will be visiting the park on March 16 through 18 for the 50th Annual Jonquil Festival.
In celebrations of the 50th anniversary, there will be several new events including Dutch oven cooking demonstrations, a parade, fish fry, custom car show, and free concert, according to a press release.
Some of the events Friday include Iron munchers at our Blacksmith shop, Arkansas Dutch Oven Cooking demonstrations, Fish fry fundraiser by the Hempstead County volunteer fire departments, and an evening parade celebrating the Jonquil Festival’s 50th anniversary in conjunction with Hempstead County 200th birthday.
Saturday’s lineup includes a 5K run hosted by The Hope Evening Lions club, custom car show, Dancetastics Dance studio, Karaoke competition, and free evening concert.
Sunday’s lineup includes Horseshoes next to the print museum and town ball on block 6.
Williams Tavern Restaurant will be open serving its famous buffet all three days from 11AM – 3PM.
Parking is $5 Admission to the crafts and outside areas is free. Tours of the park museums and historical sites will be at regular price of $9 adults, and $5 for children ages 6 to 12 years old.
Hours of the festival are:
Friday and Saturday, March 16 and March 17 9AM - 5PM
Sunday, March 18 9AM - 4PM.
