A Message To Millennials About The Election [OPINION]
As we see the results of the presidential election, I found a little something from one of my "old" Generation X friends (the generation born after the Baby Boomers) who wrote a Facebook post addressed to Millennials.
Whether your candidate won or lost the election we all need to realize that your parents are pretty smart folks. It took me until the age of 30 to realize that all of those lessons I received as a kid were actually pretty cool learning experiences.
An old boss of mine from one of my first radio jobs told me once that I needed to find another profession, that radio was just not my thing. I used that as motivation to get better and put in the work to be the best I could possibly be in my field.
Life is not all wine and roses, sometimes things will not go as planned or they may fall apart on you. Just remember that how you handle those setbacks are a great building block on how to handle the ups and downs of life.
A good friend of mine posted that he respects the office of the president, but that Trump needs to earn his respect. I hope Trump will make us proud to call him our president.
