There are some traditions that only folks in Texarkana can calll their own and I found three that I thought are someting that everyone can be proud to call their own.

1.Hell Week is a term used to describe the big rivalry of the Texas High Tiger Arkansas High Razorback football game that takes place every year in early September.

Part of Hell Week is the Bacon Fry. The Bacon Fry  is a chance for Texas High students to get together before school and get a little breakfast and, of course, show their school spirit for the big game tonight against cross town rival, the Arkansas High Razorbacks.

2. Railfest This festival is now a dowtown Texarkana tradition with great things for the family to do and there is always a great concert that wraps up the festivities. Easton Corbin, and Diamond Rio have been featured performers, and this years festival will be free admission.
3. Dine on the Line is something new that is in its infancy. The first Dine the Line took Place last year and had a great turnout despite the weather. This event is unique in that it actually has participants dine on a table that straddles the stateline. So diners on one side of the table are in Arkansas and diners on the other side are in Texas. BBQ was the featured meal last year, so this year the meal should be spectacular.
