TLC has a lot to be happy about.  VH1 will soon premiere an upcoming biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, and today marks the release of the group's compilation album, 20, which features songs from the beginning of their career to the present day.

Chilli talked about how great it was to get back in the studio and work on new material.

"It feel so good, oh my God like to record TLC stuff, I mean I'm ecstatic," she says. "We're so happy, so blessed, I mean this movie has opened up so many doors.  It actually helped bridge our way back to L.A. Reid, so we're back with La Face Records through Epic, and I mean that's just crazy."

Last week, fans were treated to a new song called "Meant to Be," which was penned by Ne-Yo.  T-Boz explains how the collaboration came together and how it reflects the group's legacy.

"He actually heard we were doing a biopic and he was telling our choreographer Jamaica, 'Oh my God, who's playin' this person?  Is that person going to dance like T-Boz?  Is the other person going to look like Chilli?'  You know he was excited," she recalls.  "And then we were like 'Oh if he likes us, we didn't even know he was a fan how about working and getting a song Ne-Yo?'"

"So our manager showed him a clip and he heard this phrase that we always use, 'It's a MTB thing' and he was like 'I got it!' He then wrote a wonderful song called 'Meant to Be' and it captures our whole 20 years of our history together in this one song," she adds.

The entire project also serves as nod to their loyal fans who have supported them over the years. "No matter what we're going through," Chill says, "they're always so supportive during the years when it looked like, I don't know, sometime you just feel like, 'Should we continue doing this?' Then you can get messages from the fans and our fans, they just want more, they miss us and all that kind of stuff. It's just so crazy and it's such a blessing and I'm happy that the songs that we've done are touching them in a positive way."

T-Boz adds that 20 was designed to tide fans over until TLC releases a full album with all-new music sometime next year, their first all-new studio effort since 2002's 3D.

"In 2014, we're coming out with a whole new TLC album, bringing out La Face Records with L.A. Reid again on Epic and it will be another whole TLC album," she confirms.

To celebrate the release, T-Boz and Chilli are scheduled to make televised appearances on The View Wednesday, October 16, and The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday, October 17.

In related news, fans can expect the biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, to air on Monday, October 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on VH1.  The film, which stars Keke Palmer  of Akeela & The Bee as Chilli, Drew Sidora of Step Up as Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, and Lil Mama from America's Best Dance Crew as Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez, chronicles TLC's humble beginnings inAtlanta and rise to fame in the '90s.
