Silvermoon Children’s Theatre Presents ‘Willy Wonka’
Silvermoon Children’s Theatre will present Willy Wonka July 13-17.
Do you have your Golden Ticket to a world of pure imagination?
A mini show is a week long process of putting together a public-ready show in only 5 days. It will be a fun, fast-paced week of all things theatre! Kids will learn how to explore different characters, design and construct costumes and set, learn and practice theatre etiquette and stage direction, move their bodies in fun choreography, prepare and memorize lines and learn skills to help present lines to an audience, get out of the box with fun and creative improv games — all while having fun, making new friends, and using teamwork to put it all together. Cost includes a week of theatre-learning and fun and two comp tickets to see the show.
What is the Silvermoon Children’s Theatre all about?
Prompted by a desire to help build healthy, happy people by investing in our community’s young people and having a non-profit mindset, SCT cultivates creativity under control using the dramatic arts by channeling the innate talents of the young to provide entertaining, uplifting children’s theatre that enriches audiences and participants alike.
Journey with us to a galaxy not so far way to a place where young stars are encouraged and nurtured to shine brightly. Businesses and individuals may choose how they wish to support SCT … maximize tickets or maximize advertising dollars.
SCT’s premiere production was Seussical, Jr. Its seven performances were performed to sellout crowds. Other shows in the premiere SCT season are Once Upon a Palooza, set to feature plays conceived by area youth, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox, by Roald Dahl.
And, just announced, are plans for mini-shows and turbo days during this summer. For information, please out SCT’s Facebook page.
