I don't want to hear anyone say there's nothing to do this weekend.

This Saturday, December 3, is chock full of things to do. For the sports fan, there is the Live United Bowl at noon. For the music fan, don’t miss the Concert for Hope featuring Ms Mac and the Groovetones with special guests The Moss Brothers Band at Texarkana College in the Stilwell Theater starting at 7PM.

But what about the kids? Gotcha covered for that one, too. At 4PM, also at the Stilwell, how about some Darby Games? That’s right Darby, as in Andi Darby. Many of you have already played some of these games at Townsquare Media events around town, games like the hula hoop contest, bubble gum blowing, musical chairs, spin the wheel, tricycle races, 3-legged races - it’s a long list actually. Good old fashioned games for fun prizes.

Bo the TC Bulldog will be helping out, and there will be a great Christmas photo station for everyone to enjoy. The kids will have some fun, and the Salvation Army will be on hand to collect donated items for folks who need a hand up right here in Texarkana. The great news is even if the weather is bad, and it might be, we can move the games inside and have just as much fun.

Fun & Games from run from 4 – 6PM, admission for this part of the event is free, however, donations are always welcome and would be greatly appreciated. The Salvation Army will have a Red Kettle out there too if you would rather make a monetary donation.

Everything benefits the Salvation Army of Texarkana and will go to help families and individuals right here in Texarkana.

Don’t forget that for the adults, the Moss Brothers Band starts playing at 7PM with Ms Mac & The Groovetones immediately following on the Texarkana College campus. Admission to the concert is the donation of a new, unwrapped toy, a new or gently used blanket or coat or even a pack of diapers.
