‘Madea’s Big Happy Family’

Directed by: Tyler Perry
What It’s About: Madea is back! But this time, the family has some bad news about her niece, Shirley, and her health. All Shirley wants to do is get the family together to share the news as a group, but everyone else is too involved in their own lives to let it happen. That is, until Madea steps in and does what she does best.

‘African Cats’

Directed by: Keith Scholey, Alastair Fothergill

What’s It About: Cameras follow a family of lions on the African savanna focusing on two mothers and their struggles. There isn’t too much to scare the kids but there are a couple of moments of death that may need to be explained. The film is narrated by Samuel L Jackson so don’t let the “documentary” word deter you from watching this movie.

And just in case you need to play catchup, check out a list of movies still in theaters this weekend:

‘Scream 4′

Directed by: Wes Craven

‘Rio’

Directed by: Carlos Saldanha
