There are a lot of stars in the four new movies in Texarkana this week including Whitney Houston’s last big-screen appearance. Jennifer Garner is from our backyard, Houston, Texas. She has been in a few low budget movies but her claim to fame comes from her starring role on ABC's 'Alias' that ended in 2006. And who can deny the massive star power in 'The Expendable 2.'

‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green,’ which opened on Wednesday, is the story of a married couple surprised by the sudden arrival of a young boy who came from their garden.

'The Expendables 2' has an all-star cast of tough guys: Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Liam Hemsworth, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Jason Statham and Jet Li. The gang is reunited to go after rival mercenaries in this sequel.

‘ParaNorman’ is the tale of a boy who can speak with the dead, becoming the only one who can defend his town against a centuries-old curse that causes zombies, ghosts and witches to attack.

‘Sparkle’ is Whitney Houston’s last movie before her untimely passing. She is the mother of a musical prodigy played by Jordin Sparks, who struggles to become a star while overcoming issues that are tearing her family apart.
