Ludacris has been ordered to pay $7,000 a month in child support after he claimed in court that he couldn't afford the $15,000 a month that Tamika Fuller, the mother of his child, had requested.

The rapper was in court Wednesday to contest Fuller's request for the money to care for his 2-month-old baby daughter, Cai.  According to TMZ. the rapper said he was hoping a paycheck from his upcoming flick Fast and Furious 7 would help him cover the child support payments, but with production halted in the wake of actor Paul Walker's death, no cash has come in.

He is seeking to set his child support payments at $1,800 a month and told the court he made approximately $55,000 in 2013.

The judge ordered the rapper to pay $7,000 per month for now, while he reviews Luda's financial condition.
