Heartworm prevention medication ranges from $5 for one dose to a small dog to $125 for a six month supply for a large dog. Comfortis flea prevention for dogs and Revolution flea prevention for cats are also available at a reduced cost. Microchips are also available for just $30 that includes a lifetime registration. Animal Protection League is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1984 in the State of Texas as an animal rescue and adoption agency. In May of 1996, they reorganized and began operating a low cost spay/neuter and vaccination program which is located in Sulpher Springs, Texas. In January of this year, the league was able to purchase a 20′ surgical trailer to allow the clinic to hit the road and visit surrounding communities.
Do not worry if you missed out on today’s clinic. Animal Protection League will be back on Tuesday, July 24 and Tuesday, August 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you would like to make an appointment to have your pet spayed or neutered, visit APLspayneuter.org or call 903-440-4911.
This is a perfect opportunity to sterilize the dog or cat that “just wondered up” on your property and is still there.
