When life gives you lemons what do you do? Well Hadyn Turney, Olivia Kimmel and Cooper Kimmel, three students from St. James Day School, will be making lots of lemonade for our local police officers. The kids will be hard at work on Saturday, July 23, from 12-4PM selling lemonade and bottled water.

All of the money raised will be split between Texarkana, Arkansas Police Departments Back the Blue outreach programs and Pink Behind The Thin Blue Line, a local non-profit officer support organization.

The idea was Hadyn's. His parents said he's been wanting to have a lemonade stand for a long time and recently said he’d like to do it for the police department "because they could use a friend with everything going on," Hadyn said. The Kimmels were planning to take cookies to TAPD so they decided to team up with Haydn. Recently the kids saw a story on Ffacebook about how someone broke into a car and stole the handcuff bracelets that Pink Behind The Thin Blue Line sells to help support the local police officers so they decided to help them out too.

These three children have been building and painting their lemonade stand all week. Be sure to stop by the lemonade stand at 6017 Summerwood Lane in Texarkana, Ark., just off of Jefferson Avenue from 12PM to 4PM. The lemonade trio invite everyone in the community to come help support the local police and will be taking donations as well. They will have free lemonade and waters for all law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and dispatchers. The kids want everyone to show up and prove their support for the Texarkana backs the blue and pink.
