Texarkana, Texas Police have arrested Alexius Hill, 21, of Texarkana, Texas for his involvement in a burglary that took place on September 23, at the River Crossing Apartments after the vehicle he was riding in fled from police.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Wildwood and Richmond Road at approximately 5:30AM this morning in reference to an unknown male sitting in the bed of a red pickup truck parked in front a residence on Wildwood Drive. The caller informed police that two other males had gotten out of the vehicle and left on foot in the direction of the mall. As officers arrived in the area, the truck was spotted travelling northbound on Richmond Road. Officers noticed the vehicle had no rear license plate and attempted to stop the vehicle. The suspects initially stopped on Cowhorn Creek, but then sped away as officers approached the vehicle, turning onto a dead end street. Officers caught up with the vehicle at the end of Space Drive and found that the driver and passenger had fled from the cab of the truck.

Alexius Hill was located in the bed of the truck. He was arrested after he was found to have a warrant for burglary as well as a probation violation. The initial investigation revealed that the suspects may have been planning to break into an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in the area of Central Mall. Several tools were found in the vehicle which further led officers to that conclusion. The owner of the truck has not yet been determined, nor has the identity of the other two accomplices. The case has been forwarded to the criminal investigation division.
