Justin Bieber stopped by Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show to make a special announcement -- he's set to embark on a 44-city North American tour in support of his upcoming album, Believe, which hits retailers June 19.

The tour kicks off September 29 in Glendale, AZ and wraps up January 26, 2013 in Miami, FL, for a total of 46 dates in 44 cities -- Justin will play two shows in Los Angeles October 2-3, and two in Rosemont, IL October 23 and 24. Justin's protégé Carly Rae Jepsen will open for him for the January dates.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday thanks to Justin's fan club presale, but host Ellen DeGeneres surprised her screaming audience with two tickets to the show. "Thanks to American Express, everyone here is getting a pair of tickets," she revealed.

Justin's Believe tour is sure to add to his bottom line as one of the highest paid entertainers in the world. In fact, the 18-year-old is on the June cover of Forbesmagazine, thanks to his venture capitalist business savvy.

"I make it a priority to take meetings with my business manager and my lawyer," the recent high school graduate told Ellen. "For school, we actually built it in so that I'm actually learning stuff that matters."

With so much business going on, that doesn't mean Justin doesn't take time off to take in a basketball game with girlfriend Selena Gomez or relax with his longtime friend Jaden Smith. Still, the pop star had to be grilled by Jaden's celebrity father, Will Smith, before making his way into the Smith clan.

"He just wants to make sure good people are around his family and he doesn't want just anybody," Justin admitted. In fact, Will ensures that if either has an engagement the next day, they "get the proper amount of sleep and stuff like that. Yeah, he's about his business," Justin revealed.
