Days after Joni Mitchell was found unconscious, the legendary singer is still in the hospital but improving.

"Joni remains under observation in the hospital and is resting comfortably," a rep for Mitchell wrote on the 71-year-old artist's website and Twitter. "Her progress is encouraging as she continues to improve each day."

Since paramedics rushed her to the hospital in Los Angeles on Tuesday (March 31), she has been moved to the intensive care unit. "Joni is currently in intensive care in an LA area hospital but is awake and in good spirits. More updates to come as we hear them," read another tweet that was posted on April 1.

There are still not too many details regarding what caused the "Big Yellow Taxi" musician to go unconscious. It was previously reported that Mitchell has been suffering from Morgellons disease, a rare condition that one experience an itching or crawling sensation on his or her skin despite the fact that there's nothing there causing it. However, there has been no link between the incident and the condition.

We will continue to report the status of Mitchell as new information emerges.
