Turns out that while Jay-Z's been telling us to 'Watch the Throne,' he's been getting to work on his next solo album.

Talking to MTV about the heavily-hyped 'Throne,' a joint project with Kanye West, Jay-Z revealed that he's already two songs into his next solo effort -- and that "I know exactly the tone and the whole feel of the album." He went on to discuss the way recording with West influenced him, saying "I think when you experience creativity, you should get it out as much as possible."

It's all part of a flurry of activity for Jay-Z, with 'Throne' scheduled for an August 2 release. His next solo album, which will be his twelfth, will serve as the follow-up to 2009's platinum-certified 'The Blueprint 3.'
