Redwater Volunteer Fire Department Hamburger Supper; Beads, Bags and the Blue Yonder Fundraiser in Hope, AR; Burger Benefit for Jennifer Stevens and the Masquerade Ball for the American Cancer Society is all happening this weekend in the Texarkana area.

Thursday, March 8:

The Redwater VFD will be hosting its Annual Spring Hamburger Supper during the Redwater ISD Open House night on March 8 at the Elementary School from 5PM until Open House is over and everyone has been served. The time for the actual Open House will be 5:30PM-7:00PM at the Elementary and 6PM-7:30PM at the Middle School. A meal will consist of a hamburger/cheeseburger, chips, dessert, & a drink for $5.50 per meal. For more information please visit www.redwatervfd.org.

Beads, Bags, and the Blue Yonder fundraiser being held on March 8 from 5:30PM until 8:30PM at the Hope Airport in the Historic 1940 Hope Hangar. The event will feature the Stardust Big Band, a style and fashion show, a silent auction, and sales. This fundraising event will benefit the UACCH Kids’ College Program held each summer at the College. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased at the UACCH Advancement office. Saturday, March 10:

Burger Benefit for Jennifer Stevens 10AM til sold out in the parking lot of BJ's Liquor on Stateline (across from the old Dixie Diner). Burger, chips and a drink $5. All desserts $1. You can pre-order and they will deliver, call 903-748-5187, 903-748-7624 or 501-412-3005. There is an account set up in Jennifer's name at Capital One Bank. Jennifer is a young single mother of twins and has been in the hospital for several weeks with a rare debilitating illness.

Masquerade Ball on March 10 from 7PM to 11PM at the Four States Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building benefiting American Cancer Society. Food, fun and live entertainment. At the Team Sumoas Relay for Life Fundraiser, masks are encouraged, but not required! However, we do ask that you wear cocktail or business attire. Tuesday, March 27:

Angel Fund Foundation Fundraiser at Chicken Express on Arkansas Blvd from 6P to 8P. Designate "Angel Fund" at purchase and 20% of sales proceeds will be donated. Angel Fund Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization. 100% of all your donations go directly to pay the medial expense of cancer patients who qualify. To date, 37 patients have been helped with their medial expenses, totaling more than $74,160.68.

Saturday, March 31:

Domestic Violence Prevention will host their 14th Annual Antique/Classic Car & Motorcycle on March 31 from 10AM to 3PM at the Texas High School parking lot. Activities the day of the show includes children activities, silent and live auctions, live local entertainment, as well as raffles throughout the day. Trophies will be given out to the winners of each division at 3PM. There is still time to sign up to be a vendor or to register your car or motorcycle!!! Saturday, April 7:

Walk MS Texarkana at Bobby Ferguson Park, 11AM. People can participate in Walk MS individually or as a team. Volunteers are also needed! Highland Hills Baptist Church is hosting a Community Wide Garage Sale on Saturday, April 7 from 9AM till 1PM. Space rentals are available for $10. Scout-O-Rama 2012 at Spring Lake Park is Friday-Sunday, April 13-15. This family event will feature Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturing Scouts from around the ARK-LA-TEX taking part in celebrating the scouting adventure. Annual Redwater Volunteer Fire Department Bass Tournament is Saturday, April 14 at Wright Patman Lake in Sportsman’s Cove. All proceeds from our tournament help to purchase much needed equipment in order to protect our local community. Raffles and fun for the entire family.
