A few hours ago grass fires in Miller County along I-30 Westbound at the mandeville exit, had traffic at a standstill for a couple of hours. the smoke was so thick that it was pouring across the interstate causing lack of Visibility.

as many as three vehicular accidents were caused directly and indirectly due to the smoke according to State Police, ultimately shutting down that section of I-30.  Fire and ambulance crews move in and around the accidents the Est bound lane is reportedly now open.

as you travel westbound I-30 be prepared to stop. keep your radio tuned to Power 95.9 for further traffic details
