One of this year's biggest hits is fun.'s "We Are Young," which topped the Billboard charts for six weeks and has sold over two million downloads.  But unfortunately, the band hasn't gotten the chance yet to celebrate their newfound success: they're too busy touring.

"We've just been working so hard and been on the road so consistently over the past three months or so," explains fun. multi-instrumentalist Andrew Dost. He said in an interview, "Really, all of the best news that we’ve gotten has come within the context of, like, 'That’s wonderful but we still have to play a show tonight, we still have soundcheck.'"

He adds, "We wanna make sure this lasts and make sure we’re working as hard as possible, so we haven’t really taken too much time  to think about it.  So, no official celebrations, but we’re just really, really happy with all this good news and it definitely caught us by surprise."

"We Are Young" caught everybody by surprise. the song didn't really become a hit until it was featured on a Super Bowl commercial back in February.  Asked why he thinks it's captured people's imaginations, Andrew also said, "I think that beat in the chorus is huge.

I think there’s something about the way that, singer,  Nate performs it and the way that melody goes that really resonates with people."  He adds, "I also think there’s something about the youth aspect of it that maybe resonates with people."

Ultimately, Andrew laughs, "I don’t really know.  I guess if I knew exactly why I would keep trying to make 20 more songs exactly like it!"
