According to a press release, on Saturday, February 17, at approximately 7PM, Investigator Thomas Whitt and Deputy Rowdy Green of the Miller County Sheriff’s Department went to a mobile home located at Ward’s Trailer Park where Investigator Whitt was attempting to serve a felony warrant on an Sean Conkey.

Investigator Whitt observed Conkey run into a trailer.  Upon further examination of the trailer, Whitt observed several occupants lying on the floor and on beds and after attempting to make contact they were determined to be unresponsive.  Investigator Whitt and Deputy Green entered the home to check on the status of the unresponsive persons, and while checking on the multiple persons inside, observed what they believed to be drug paraphernalia and Methamphetamine laying in plain view inside the trailer.  After checking on the status of the persons in the home, no medical attention was required, and the Deputies arrested multiple persons on outstanding felony warrants and for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, (Meth) along with drug paraphernalia.

Investigator Whitt requested assistance from a Miller County member of the Bi-State Narcotics Task Force who gained a Search Warrant to enable Deputies to search the trailer.  Following the subsequent execution of the search warrant, Deputies recovered approximately 14.21 ounces of Methamphetamine which has a street value of approximately $80,000.00.

Deputies arrested Sean Conkey, 20, on a Felony Probation Violation.  Also arrested were Casey Smith, 30, on a Felony Warrant out of Dallas County, Texas, Carrie Simms, 31, Skyler Martin, 20, Corey Phelps, 27, and Cody Hendrix, 22, for Possession of a Controlled Substance, (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  They are currently housed at the Miller County Detention Center on a $25,000.00 bond.  The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
