Zeus is a nine month old Shepherd mix that is already neutered, house trained, great on a leash, great with kids, loves other dogs and gets along with cats too! He is gorgeous with light brown, long hair and a black outline around his sweet eyes.

This sweet, very young heeler is at the animal shelter in Texarkana. She was very scared when we were inside the shelter but once she got into the exercise area she really loosened up and started enjoying herself.

These photos and videos were taken on Monday, Aug. 17 of dogs and puppies on the adoption floor at the animal shelter in Texarkana, ARK. All of these puppies have been give up by their owners or they were strays that came into the shelter by way of animal control officers or citizens that found them wandering the streets of Texarkana. The animal shelter had 30 to 40 animals dropped on them yesterday. When high numbers of animals come into the shelter like that, they are busting at the seams.

Odie is a gorgeous Catahoula dog. He has an even temperament. He is known as the "lazy dog" at the shelter but trust me, this boy has enough energy to do whatever you have in mind for the day. He is just pretty laid back the rest of the time.
