Members of the Texarkana Association of Legal Assistants are selling raffle tickets for their yearly fundraiser. This year's recipient is H.I.P. Mentoring Children of Prisoners (HIP stands for Hope, Inspiration, and Protection).
Prizes include a Sony camera, weekend getaways, dining packages and much more. The deadline to purchase tickets is Tuesday, April 10.

It is National Kite Month. Take your kids out to fly a kite and celebrate the month.
Flying a kite can be a super fun experience with the kids, just make sure they don't get too attached to the kite in case it crashes. I remember losing a beautiful kite over the interstate in California when I was a kid. It was gone. I still have fond memories of flying kites on the beach but I sure miss that kite.
